The toothpaste manufacturers aren't doing a good job considering all the whitening kits on the market today. How else can you explain just how popular teeth whiteners are, without pointing the finger at the first line of defense -- your toothpaste?
But this isn't about pointing blame. Today, let's figure out the best products for teeth whitening.
There are many different products and methods on the market, and we can't review them all here.
We've created some videos which review the products that we feel are the best for you. Our reviews are all linked below.
In addition, we're going to give you some tips how to get some of these systems for free! (Just so you know, these are teeth whitening systems that can typically cost anywhere from $50-$100. So please stay tuned for that.)
Let's start with the most logical ways to compare teeth whitening products... There are a trio of basic whiteners -- you have your paste whiteners, you have whitening strips, and then you have gel-based teeth whitener systems.
Let me just dismiss an entire class of these right now. If you think that you're going to get the type of look that you're after just by using a toothpaste based whitener, don't fool yourself. Using just a whitening toothpase is better than nothing at all, but it won't give you the level of whiteness you probably desire.
Next we'll go over the whitening strips. Although these are significantly better than the toothpastes, most people don't think they contain enough active ingredient to really do an effective job in a reasonable amount of time. The majority of the feedback I have gotten was that while they're better than the pastes, you must understand that these systems take much longer to achieve great results.
Now, we look at the kits that use basically the same active ingredients that you would find if you visited your dentist for a whitening treatment. As you might imagine, these have been shown to be the most effective.
The main issue with them is that the cost is obviously higher than the other solutions. Still, even if you were to pay full price for these teeth whitening systems, you'd still be saving a large amount of money compared to a visit to the dentist's office.
I'm here to tell you there are ways to have high priced, effective whiteners for a low price or even free.More on this in a second.
The last group of whitening kits, which I haven't even really mentioned up until now, would be a teeth whitening treatmentadministered by your dentist. This will get very good results -- although studies have been done that showed that nearly everyone believes a quality at-home whitening kit performs just as well, even better in some cases. However, as I previously mentioned, you can expect to pay anywhere from $750 up to a few thousand dollars for such a treatment.
And what's more, most dentists admit that their clients almost always come back for multiple sessions before they get the results they require. It's obvious that this can become very costly very rapidly.
